My apology to those who I have not yet thanked for adding my work to their favorites. I'm working on it, of course submitting new work is sort of counter-productive.

This is a very striking and invoking image.
Other than the "noise" contained in this photo, I can't say there is enough to pick at. Whilst the noise or graininess could be a reason to criticize the quality of the image taken, one could also say it adds a bit of human-esque type quality to the subject of this photograph which only adds to the emotional direction of the image.

The subject is heavily shadowed and nude. The legs are bent as well as the arms and the shoulders relax, leaning forward. The subject rests his elbows upon his knees, his head upon his wrists while his hands rest against the top of his head. Within this position the subjects body is less angular giving him a softer, more solemn demeanor.

The subject is heavily shadowed, blanketed by areas of darkness but the darkness does not protect or cover the subject in such a way. Rather, it isolates him making him more vulnerable to harm.

The subject is in a very relaxed yet dejected position...almost as if in a state of surrender. This suggests the subject may have been abandoned or wounded proceeding a breach of trust. The subjects demeanor is very round and soft which among other mentioned aspects of the image, invoke feelings of sadness, hopelessness, solitude, and vulnerability as opposed to more arched, tense position that would give the subject a more angular demeanor which may invoke feelings of anger, aggravation, frustration and rebellion.

This, I think, is a very relevant and defining element of the photo. It gives the still image a foundational timeline which brings realism and life to the image thus reinforcing the level of vulnerability possessed by the subject. This in turn suggests that the subject is not succumbing to inevitable harm rather than recovering from it- hence the subject is now in a submissive position. This image is a result; an effect.
This is a very emotional, creative and beautiful capture. The integrity of the image remains intact, regardless of the quality of the photo- such flaws only seem to strengthen the theme of the image.

It is in a way, creative genius. I love it.
The fact that the photographer is the model, personalizes this photo ever more so. This capture is not a photograph...it is a phantom of the photographers doppelganger.

Truly captivating and amazing. I remain in a state of awe.
